Wheel Alignment Rogers

Your suspension system keeps your car up off the road. From there, it’s responsible for a smooth and comfortable ride around Rogers. It also keeps your family car wheels firmly planted over bumps and through curves on Rogers roads and expressways.

Your suspension system has many important parts that do a big job. They should be inspected for damage and excessive wear at least once a year. A good time would be when you get your alignment check in Rogers.

Here are some warning signs of suspension problems: the family car pulls to one side, wandering, erratic steering, uneven tire wear, leaning, shocks bottom out, poor ride or handling, oil leaking from shocks, and excessive bouncing.

Now family car suspension parts just wear out over time. Shocks and struts eventually lose their ability to control your ride. If you’re in an accident, your family car suspension can be damaged or knocked out of alignment. Even a minor accident, like hitting a curb, pothole or large rock can mess things up.

If you suspect suspension problems, ask for a diagnostic examination and let the considerate service advisors at Kent Rylee Automotive in Rogers set things right.

Suspension Integrity In Rogers

suspension service and wheel alignment Rogers

suspension service

Hello
Rogers drivers – today we’re talking about suspension integrity. Your skeleton provides the structure to hold up your weight. Your joints cushion you as you walk and allow you to change direction. Your family car’s suspension system is similar: It bears the weight of your vehicle, absorbs bumps in the road and controls the body as you steer.

Like the bones in your body, family car suspension parts are connected by joints that allow all the components to move as they should. Over time and miles, the joints start to wear and your suspension gets loose and doesn’t operate as precisely as before, reducing proper tire contact with the road. An accident, pothole or hitting a curb or rock can also damage or break family car suspension components.

If you’ve ever hurt your foot, you know you’ve had to walk differently to keep it from hurting as bad. Do that long enough and your ankle, knee, hip and even your back will start to hurt from the strain of not moving normally. The same thing happens in your family car when one joint or part is worn or damaged: it stresses everything else and causes premature wear to the whole system.

Signs of suspension problems include uneven tire wear, vibration, rattles or clunks when you hit a bump or turn on a windy Rogers road, or the vehicle pulls to one side.

If you suspect a suspension problem, ask your considerate Kent Rylee Automotive service advisor for a diagnostic examination of your suspension system. They can also check your alignment while they’re at it. Taking care of a worn or damaged suspension component early, will head off future damage and costly repairs down the road.

Schedule A Suspension Inspection At Kent Rylee Automotive

Wednesday, March 21st, 2012

Today’s Rogers car care article focuses on your suspension system. After many years and tens of thousands of miles, your family car suspension system components do wear out, but how long that takes depends a lot on how you drive. As you can imagine, if most of your driving is on smooth Rogers highways, your shock absorbers will last a lot longer than if you do most of your driving on bumpy roads or hauling heavy loads.

Schedule A Suspension Inspection At Kent Rylee AutomotiveIn addition to just wearing out, Kent Rylee Automotive customers need to know that suspension components can be damaged in an accident or by a hard impact – like a pothole, hitting a curb or a rock in the road.

Because the life span of shocks can vary so widely, your family car manufacturer and Kent Rylee Automotive recommend periodic inspections. During an inspection, your Rogers service technician will check for worn, broken or missing parts.

Signs that shocks or struts are wearing out: The tires may have a cupped wear pattern. This is from the shocks bouncing unevenly as you drive around Rogers. You may notice a floaty or drifting sensation when cornering. If the front of your family car dives excessively when stopping, or rocks back and forth after you stopped, your shocks may be worn out. And if they are leaking fluid, it’s definitely time to replace them.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, come into Kent Rylee Automotive for a suspension inspection.
Same if you’ve been in an accident that involved one of your wheels. Worn or broken shocks can cause premature wear or failure on other family car suspension parts such as ball joints and other steering components as well. If your suspension actually fails, it could lead to a serious accident, so let us take care of your suspension components at Kent Rylee Automotive.

When you replace your shocks, it’s usually a good idea to replace all four at the same time. That’ll give you more even handling. Talk with your service advisor at Kent Rylee Automotive because you don’t want a big difference between the performance of your shocks from wheel to wheel, and replacing all may be the safest bet.

Let’s talk about your suspension – you know, the system that connects your wheels to your vehicle, controls your handling and delivers a good ride as you cruise around Rogers AR. Your suspension is critical for proper steering, stopping and stability.

Hey, it’s a rough world out there in AR – every time you hit a pothole, a bump or an object in the road, your suspension system has to absorb the impact and maintain control.

As you can imagine, your suspension has a lot of joints and pivot points that allow your wheels to move up and down over bumps and to turn as you steer. These parts include ball joints, tie rod ends, the pitman, idler arms and the control arm bushing. They simply wear out over time.

When a joint or other part is worn the suspension parts don’t fit together as tightly as they should. Handling and steering has a loose feel and you may hear strange noises. Your tires will wear unevenly because they’re bouncing down the Rogers AR road a little off kilter.

Rogers AR Suspension A loose joint has the effect of stressing other suspension components so they wear out faster than they should. Sometimes a suspension part can be bent from hitting a rock or curb or by slamming into a big pothole.

When your Rogers AR service advisor at Kent Rylee Automotive inspects your vehicle, he’ll look for signs of suspension problems: things like uneven tire wear, excessive play in suspension components and other visible damage. He can replace the worn or damaged parts and restore safe handling.

It’s a great idea to take care of these problems right away before they become more expensive to repair. And nobody in Rogers likes to see a tire that should last for several years get worn out in a matter of months because of a bad suspension part.

Let us help you keep your vehicle operating safely. And saving some money on repairs and tire replacement is a good thing too.
